Phone timers

A phone is often the nearest timer, but the surrounding conditions change as soon as the screen locks, a call arrives, or another app becomes the focus. These articles examine practical phone timing without assuming that a browser page behaves like a native alarm application. Read them before using a mobile timer for a session you do not want to interrupt.

Build a routine that fits a small screen

Place the device where the display is easy to read and the controls are safe to reach. Run a brief trial with your actual volume settings and use the same browser you intend to keep open. Choose a preset before the activity begins, then avoid changing several device settings during the session.

For a task that depends on a wake-up alarm or a closed-screen alert, check the operating system tool designed for that purpose. A visible browser countdown can still be valuable for short tasks, lap observations, and shared reference timing.
