Review useful timing patterns

Choose one question for your review, such as whether a particular task needs a longer block. Look at summaries for comparable activities and check the accompanying notes before drawing a conclusion. A shorter duration may reflect a smaller task, while a longer one may include preparation or interruptions. Download a CSV copy when you want to organize the records elsewhere. Preserve the original meaning of each measurement when making your own comparisons or summaries.

A practical way to begin

1. Set one review questionChoose a practical decision the history can support, such as the next rehearsal allowance. Gather the relevant task notes with the saved summaries so each duration has an understandable boundary and purpose.
2. Compare similar attemptsGroup sessions that used the same measurement rules in your own review. Inspect unusual results rather than automatically discarding them, and identify changes in task scope, preparation or interruptions before interpreting the difference.
3. Choose one next adjustmentUse the review to change a single part of the next session. Keep a separate copy of useful history, then clear unneeded local records only after confirming what you intend to retain.

Choose a review allowance

Suppose several document reviews exceed their first ten-minute block because the reference material is scattered. Your next adjustment might be five minutes of preparation followed by a ten-minute review, rather than simply assigning a longer review every time. Save the resulting timed sessions and note the new boundary. Compare like with like before deciding whether the new preparation step helped.
